Jaipur, the vibrant present-day capital of Rajasthan, is popularly
known as the “pink city” for the colour of the buildings in its old city. The buzzing metropolis is a place of
wild contrasts and is a feast for the eyes.
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Amber - the old
capital of Jaipur rulers. The fort of Amber is a superb example of Rajput architecture, stunningly situated on a hillside,
overlooking a lake. Ride on elephants from the foot of the hill up to the gates of the fortress. Explore some more of the
city with the Maharaja's museum, the 18th century astronomical observatory and the Hawa Mahal.
